Well, it wasn’t a grand plan involving fancy cameras and spotlights! It all started with watching my son, Ivaan, and the everyday ‘shenanigans’ in a typical Indian middle-class home. As a work-from-home dad, I had a front-row seat to all the hilarious chaos. One day, I just thought, ‘This is too good not to share!’ So, armed with my phone and a lot of chai, Pandey Ke Bandey was born. Turns out, my family is funnier than any script I could write!

My biggest inspiration? Definitely my family! Every skit, every character, every punchline comes straight from the heart of a common middle-class Indian household. From my wife’s unique ‘Mom’s Logic’ to Ivaan’s unfiltered observations, and even the timeless wisdom (or lack thereof!) of Baba and Vatsa – it’s all real-life, everyday humor that I hope everyone can relate to and laugh with. Basically, my life is my script, and trust me, it’s a never-ending comedy show!

Ah, the mystical art of editing! Think of it as a stealth operation. After Ivaan is sound asleep, and before my IT professional night shift kicks in, that’s when the real magic happens. It’s just me, my computer, and sometimes a very strong cup of coffee, transforming raw footage into something (hopefully!) hilarious. It’s a bit of a juggle, turning into different ‘Bandeys’ and then stitching it all together, but the thought of making you laugh keeps me going!
